International Travel Preparation Checklist

Forms of Identification Needed:
Passengers 18 and over must have a valid ID
For passengers under 18, check the TSA Security Guidelines
Ensure of the Following When Planning International Travel:
□ Passport
Getting a passport
Existing passports
Ensure your passport passes the requirements
Please Note: Just having a passport does not mean it is valid for travel, some countries have additional passport requirements such as that it be valid for at least six months after the end of your trip and that it have two or more blank pages
Check your destination’s passport requirements
□ Visa
When planning travel abroad, you may need a visa issued by the embassy of the country you wish to visit
□ Customs and Import Restrictions
□ Review Customs Restrictions of Foreign Destinations
Be aware that many countries have restrictions on what you can bring into that country, including medications (even some over-the-counter medications)
Check with the foreign embassies and consulates

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) offers 2 programs that can move you through the airport security lines quicker for pre-approved members
□ TSA Pre✓® Number
Program that expedites traveler screening through TSA security checkpoints
□ Global Entry Card
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the Unites States (The members enter the U.S. through automatic kiosks at select airports)
